It was time to rack Sadie's Cider so I setup the vat on the sink and the carboy below. All went swimmingly (watch that word). Filled the carboy to within about 2" of the top and stopped the siphon. Pulled the tube out of the carboy and then added the Yeast Enhancer as the fermentation had stalled a bit. Have you seen pictures of Mt. Etna in full furry. Well the carboy went to bubbing - the cider came spewing up and out and Oh Boy what a mess. I put the tube siphon into the carboy to siphon some out and the tube went flying all over the room taking the cider with it. So now I get to clean up the floor, cabinet and everything around including me. We did draw pitcher Saturday night at the Ocktoberfest and tried it and yes it is going to be good.
I do think the Summer wine did not make unless you are suppose to pucker when you drink it. Oh well - sometimes you win and then sometimes ...
